Today was a good day. Slow but good. And last night gave me more appreciation for our location. We stayed open until about 8 last night and while people were waiting for their Chinese takeout or Marco’s Pizza they came over to us to buy dessert. I believe we’re a great compliment to the area and even our plaza.

But even more insight about business was gained. And this should be Business 101. I’ll sum it up as: “Don’t talk about it; BE about it.” Customers aren’t interested in what you say you are gonna do unless you are doing it. For instance, we’ve been mentioning what other desserts we plan to offer… I now see how that’s not going to cut it. People are patient, yes. But people are also busy and careful about how they spend their time and money. I don’t wanna be the one to waste either. So I’ve pleaded for your patience before but I now know better than to (unintentionally) abuse your kindness.
