Enjoi Sweets has been in the making for a few years now. My mother, my husband and I started baking cupcakes for family and friends. We even did a few baby showers. Then we sold cupcakes, cookies and mini pies at the Ybor City Saturday Market in Tampa. We were called Sugar Flower Cupcakes then.
We had good and bad days. We’ve taken away many fun and laughable memories. But selling at the market didn’t work as well as we needed it to. Using a commercial kitchen became expensive and time consuming. We weighed all the costs like travel and time, and effort it took to pack and unpack our equipment… It just didn’t work that way. So now we’ve decided to take a huge plunge and open a storefront (eeek!).
I hope to capture the same ups and downs of building our new business on our blog. I hope readers get the sense of how hard we are on ourselves and yet how silly we can be. I hope to attract some of our previous customers and gain some new ones. Make more laughable memories. And maybe even help an entrepreneur along the way.
